Math: Continue with number sense and adding.
Reading: " Pig in a Wig" and short I. We will continue working on writing sentences, and we will review the short a sound from last week. Please read with your child every night. Reading is very fast paced in first grade so it is very easy for a child to get behind if they are not practicing.
Spelling: in, it, did, did, sit, fix, lip, mix, pin, wig, you, was. Spelling tests will be given on Thursdays. Spelling will be graded, but it does not go on the report card this nine weeks.
Social Science: The five senses.
Shaved Ice is Tuesday.
